Easter at The Edge
A Heartfelt Commission
A very happy Easter to all my friends! I’d like to share a fun recent experience. A few weeks ago, I received a touching request through my website from a mother in Montville. She wanted to commission a painting of a ever-lasting moment with her daughter at The Edge Restaurant, a beloved lunch spot for the two of them, that has years ofsignificant memories. This request was not just a typical commission; it was a heartfelt Easter gift, making it even more special.
As I am beginning to build more of a reputation as a professional artist here on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, I feel grateful to have clients who take the time to research my work and seek something unique. It’s a wonderful feeling to have opportunities that allow me to create cherished pieces of art that people will hold dear for a lifetime and pass on to future generations. For this exact reason is why I choose to paint with oil on linen, its proven longevity ensures that my artwork can endure and find its place in homes for generations to come long after my journey comes to an end. You never know where your painting might end up!
The stunning views of the Glasshouse Mountains in the background add an iconic touch to this project, making it a perfect representation of our beautiful Sunny Coast region. Creating this piece means more than just painting; it’s about capturing a moment that will serve as a lasting gift, filled with special memories. I’m thrilled to be part of this special experience and look forward to continuing to create meaningful art for my community.
