A Morning of Impressionism

Point Cartwright Walkway

This Saturday, I had the pleasure of spending a beautiful morning painting at Point Cartwright Walkway. The stunning scenery provided the perfect backdrop for my impressionist work, capturing the movement of light, color, and brushstrokes that this style celebrates. As I painted, I found myself surrounded by a wonderful mix of locals, each curious and appreciative of the art unfolding before them.

Engaging with the community was a highlight of the day. Conversations flowed naturally, as many expressed interest in learning to paint themselves. This interaction felt like the ultimate advertisement for my upcoming landscape painting workshops, and I did not miss the opportunity to hand out fliers and business cards. Seeing my process and results in real-time seemed to spark an eagerness to explore their own creativity.

Sharing insights and techniques, I inspired others to nurture their inner artists and appreciate the more precious aspects of life. It was a joy to witness their enthusiasm and to encourage them to embark on their own artistic journeys.

This experience reinforced the power of art to connect us, inspire us, and enrich our lives. Spending a Saturday morning in such a fulfilling way was truly rewarding, and I look forward to continuing this journey with my plein air paintings and upcoming workshops. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, I invite you to join me in exploring the beauty of landscape painting next month at the Sunshine Coast Art Group for my “Beachscape Painting Workshop”.
