Josh Wright is an international professional artist with a decade of experience and a BFA in Fine Art Painting from the esteemed Florence Academy of Art in Italy. His work has been showcased globally, creating art pieces for charities, galleries, organizations, and clients. Wright has taught and traveled extensively, drawing inspiration from living and plein air painting in the vibrant landscapes of Mexico, the diverse tapestry of the United States, the romantic vistas of Italy, and the breathtaking beauty of Australia. Each location enriches his artistic palette, infusing his work with a profound cultural understanding that shapes his storytelling approach and creative expression.

Course Description:
In the Beachscape Painting class, participants will learn the essential techniques to start and finish a painting. They will understand the principles of 2D and 3D perspective and landscape, enabling them to create depth and realism in their work. He will take you each step of the way to create your own unique artwork inspired by our local Sunshine Coast beaches. This exciting creative focuses on our local seascapes and includes: Contemporary and classical painting techniques, modern approaches into artistic practice with stylized brush effects or palette knife techniques. Additionally, the course will cover values and color theory, helping artists understand how to effectively use light and color to enhance their compositions. By the end of the class, students will have the skills to create captivating beachscapes that reflect their unique artistic vision.
