CASA Hogar

Loreto, Mexico

“Casa Hogar La Esperanza Loreto” in Loreto, Mexico, is a private foster home dedicated to providing care, shelter, education, and emotional support for orphaned, abused, or vulnerable children. During his time in Loreto, Wright was inspired to give back to the community that embraced him. From his "Honoring Loreto" art series, he donated a portion of sales directly to Casa Hogar, funding essential materials and food for the children. Wright actively participated by driving with a representative to purchase groceries and delivering them to the home, reinforcing his commitment to community support.

During his stay in Loreto, Wright captured the charm of the fishing town through plein air painting, highlighting its historical landmarks, including the first and second churches built on the Baja peninsula. His work resonated with the locals, who cheered him on in the streets. After completing his "Honoring Loreto" series, Wright held an exhibition at Loreto's City Hall, attracting a large audience of locals and tourists. A portion of the proceeds from the exhibition was donated to Casa Hogar to support essential renovations.

Beat The Burn

Sydney, Australia

Wright participated in the "Beat the Burn" campaign, a multi-event fundraiser by Fire & Rescue NSW benefiting The Burns Unit at The Children's Hospital at Westmead. This initiative supports children with life-altering burn injuries. Wright contributed by donating a painting of Sydney’s Harbour Bridge and initiated a crowdfunding effort for an art installation or mural at the hospital, planned for 2026, to enhance the healing environment for young patients. Throughout the night with the help of Wright and many other generous donors, the charity was able to raise $47,098AUD for the Burns Unit at The Sydney Children's Hospital at WestMead.

Wright generously donated a painting for the Beat The Burn 002 Ball auction, where he also delivered a heartfelt speech, drawing from his own experiences of spending part of his childhood in a children's hospital, he emphasized the vital role of art in fostering hope and healing through the recovery process.
